Comedian and writer Danny Wallace has made a foray into yet another area of the media industry, by starring in a computer game.
The author of Join Me and Yes Man and the face of a number of BBC TV shows including Castaway is now playing a major role in the Ubisoft game, Assassins Creed II.
Danny plays a historian, who acts as a guide for players throughout the game. Despite being known for his recent writing success, working in the computer game industry is nothing new for Wallace.
As a teenager he worked as a work experience at Sega Power magazine impressing with his comic style and dry wit and moving on to write for Gamesmaster and Nintendo.
Danny achieved worldwide acclaim when his book Yes Man was turned into a Hollywood movie starring Jim Carrey and Zooey Deschanel. Despite his cameo in the film, his appearance in Assassins Creed has to be his most unusual role to date.
Assassins Creed II is out on November 20th on PS3, XBox 360 and PC.
