Leona Lewis 'staying positive'

Leona Lewis Leona Lewis says she is staying "positive" after her attack at a book signing.

The singer says she does not plan to change her life following the incident at Waterstone's in central London on October 14.

Lewis, who was punched in the head as she signed books for fans, said: "I don't like to dwell on the negatives, I'm a very positive person."

She has also described how she likes to keep her private life behind closed doors.

The former X Factor winner says she has no plans to hire bodyguards although she does have people who "look out" for her.

Peter Kowalczyk, 29, has been charged with assaulting the singer and the case has been adjourned until November 23.

He has been sectioned under the Mental Health Act and is being examined by psychiatrists.
