Singer and songwriter Remi Nicole has been picked to be the supporting act on Amy Winehouse's upcoming UK tour.

The 23-year-old part-Jewish, half-Trinidadian musician impressed Amy with her hit single this summer - Go Mr Sunshine.

However, doubts have been raised as to whether Amy will continue with her tour, in light of her husband Blake Fielder-Civil's recent arrest.

Remi insists she will understand if Amy decides to pull out.

She said: "I understand that she's going through a hard time at the moment. If it was me, I don't know how happy I would be to go on tour while my husband was banged up."

Fielder-Civil is currently in prison charged with conspiring to pervert the course of justice.
