Newly divorced Madonna has fuelled speculation she is seeing American baseball star Alex Rodriguez.

The New York Yankees player had a front-row seat near to Rod Stewart at the Material Girl's Miami gig.

Fans said Madonna stared directly at him as she sang the ballad You Must Love Me before he handed her a bottle of water.

Rodriguez, 33, was introduced to Madonna by a mutual friend and has reportedly converted to the Kabbalah religion.

Madonna last week divorced 40-year-old film director Guy Ritchie after eight years of marriage.
