Guns seized after man shot dead by Police
Three guns have been seized after police shot an armed man dead in the street.
The weapons, which were not police guns, were recovered shortly after the incident, the Independent Police Complaints Commission (IPCC) said.
The man was shot in Harold Hill, Romford, Essex, after police were called to a domestic incident.
Local police called in a CO19 armed response unit after witnesses said the man had a gun.
Scotland Yard said the man suffered a fatal gunshot wound after he was confronted in the street by armed officers.
An IPCC spokesman said: "Three weapons have been preserved at the scene and await forensic examination."
Neighbours called officers to Honeysuckle Close after a fight broke out between a man and a woman.
The woman was taken to a local hospital by ambulance with non-life threatening injuries as a result of the domestic incident, the IPCC said.
