Entire mammoth skeleton found
There's been a mammoth find in eastern Serbia.
A Mammuthus Meridionalis, to be precise, discovered at a coal mine which is part of the Viminacium Archaelogical Park.
The bones were dicovered 27 metres below the surface, under a layer of yellow sand.
The park's director believes these bones could belong to one of the oldest mammoth species found in Europe.
The mammoth is thought to have been four metres high, five metres long and weighed in at over ten tons.
Scientists think it originally got to eastern Serbia by making the trip from northern Africa.
