Club boss sued by fan for 'mental torment'

A fan of cash-strapped Bulgarian champions CSKA Sofia is suing former-club president Alexandar Tomov for almost £125,000 for causing him "immaterial damages and mental torment".

The claimant, Yavor Bluskov, indicated that he has found it difficult to accept the club's exclusion from the Champions League last month and that he is heart-broken as a result.

CSKA were axed due to financial problems and Mr Bluskov personally accused Mr Tomov for not getting the club's books in order.

He warned: "I'll chase him (Tomov) until he pays me for the mental torment,"

Mr Tomov was forced into resigning his post last month at club after he was hounded by angry football fans threatening revenge every time he was seen at the club's grounds.

He has also been charged with embezzlement, an indictment pertaining to a £2.5 million transfer from the football club's account.
