New BGT contender rivals Boyle

A ten-year-old singer and dancer has been thrown in the ring to sweep the Britain's Got Talent title.

Hollie Steel, from Accrington, Lancashire, impressed the judges on the ITV1 show, with a performance of I Could Have Danced All Night from My Fair Lady.

After the performance, judge Piers Morgan told Hollie: "We have seen a lot of children on our show over the last three series and I have never heard any of them sing as well as you do."

According to bookmakers Ladbrokes, she is now joint second place with Welsh schoolboy Shaheen Jafargholi to win at 5/1, closing in on contender Susan Boyle who remains favourite at 1/2.

Ladbrokes spokesman Robin Hutchison said: "Ninety per cent of bets on the show have been for Boyle so we've been desperate for someone to take her on.

"We might have just found a rival in Hollie who melted the hearts of the judges and the betting public."
