Harrelson's The Messenger of peace

Woody Harrelson has been buddying up to his "brother" Ben Foster at the Berlin Film Festival's showing of their new movie The Messenger.

The pair obviously struck up a close friendship while filming the war movie which went down a storm in Berlin.

Foster, who plays Iraq veteran Will Montgomery, gushed over his co-star Harrelson and said: "Woody is my brother. It just happened. I am very grateful.

"We beat each other up and love each other endlessly. It's just one of those gifts. I would take a bullet for him."

Harrelson, meanwhile fuelled the love-fest admitting he "does feel about him like he is my brother".

But as if to underline the Hollywood rule that love affairs are only as long as the movie you're working on added: "By the time I got to New Jersey where we were filming, I have to say he was way ahead in the process, because I was filming another movie and came straight there.

"And I feel more like he mentored me, he was really helpful in kind of getting my character together."

The pair then underlined their new-found love with a hug for the cameras. Ahhhh!
