Cobain, Hendrix and Joplin in new exhibition

The lives of musicians who all died at the age of 27 are to be remembered in a new exhibition in London.

Forever 27, features photographs of Kurt Cobain, Jimi Hendrx, Brian Jones, Jim Morrison and Janis Joplin, whose deaths ranged from suicide, to drug overdoses.

The exhibition includes rare photographs of all the musicians, including Philip Townsend's first photo-shoot of Jones and the rest of the Rolling Stones.

Speaking about the exhibition, Director Alex Proud said: "Rock 'n roll has loads and loads of morbid death in it. Whether it's suicide, drugs, mysterious deaths, it's all there."

The exhibition will run until November 9 at Camden's Proud Gallery.
