'Rarest' gold coin cast for World Cup A gold coin that's being called "probably the rarest in the world" has been produced for the World Cup in South Africa 2010.

The South African Mint Company manually produced the coin at the site of the stadium that is due to host the first and final matches of the tournament in June next year.

According to the company only 300 mintages of the Soccer City coin will be made. It said that the 2010 coin series will probably be the rarest in the world with the number of produced being limited to 25 000.
