Cassette tapes containing erotic messages left by Madonna on a former boyfriend's answering machine are on sale.

The recordings were made by the singer in 1992 and 1993 for her ex Jim Albright.

Auction site Gotta Have Rock And Roll expects them to fetch between £18,000 and £24,000.

Jimi Hendrix's first known recording contract and Bob Dylan's handwritten lyrics to the song A Hard Rain's A-Gonna Fall are also up for grabs.

The Dylan lyrics are stained, torn and creased, but the lot is described as an "incredible rock and roll artefact showing the working of Dylan's mind as he worked out the lyrics to this classic song".
