Ball girl takes on tennis ace
A 15-year-old ball girl has become the star of Wimbledon, playing in front of more than 10,000 people.
Chloe Chambers showed off her skills when she was invited to play by German 24th seed Tommy Haas on Court No1.
The pair knocked up for five minutes in the packed 11,393-capacity stadium after Haas' opponent, Frenchman Michael Llodra, went off with an injury.
And she was not the only one getting in on the action - another ball girl was part of the incident in which Llodra was forced to go off in the first place.
With Llodra serving at 2-3 down he raced towards the net for a half volley and was unable to slow down.
The 6ft 3in 29-year-old Frenchman crashed into the girl who had been crouching between a player's courtside seat and the umpire's elevated chair.
Erin Lorencin, 15, was shaken but not injured and it was Llodra who came off the worst.
After apologising and giving the girl a crowd-pleasing hug he sought medical attention.
With Haas leading 4-3, Llodra decided to retire - leaving Year 10 schoolgirl Chambers to enjoy the limelight.
And she showed she knows how to play - she is in her second year as a Wimbledon ball girl and takes part in the Wimbledon Junior Tennis initiative, which gives coaching to local children.
Llodra, the world number 137, knocked out Britain's Josh Goodall in the first round.
