Robert Pattinson and Twilight cast in Spain

The vampires of New Moon, the sequel to the popular teen movie Twilight, hit the Spanish capital on Thursday.

Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner were in Madrid to promote the saga.

Since the release of the first film last year all three became instant celebrities.

"It is so strange when you fall in to something like this and it suddenly explodes into this supernova. And it, all the films have filmed so quickly together. The fan base exponentially explodes so quickly. It's almost like the whole thing seems completely surreal. I've kind of disassociated myself, really by my natural character" Pattinson said.

In The Twilight Saga: New Moon, teenager Bella Swan and her vampire love Edward Cullen, played by Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson, separate because he fears he is putting her in danger.
