Who runs ITN?
ITN is an independent company, currently owned by four shareholders: ITV PLC(40%), Daily Mail and General Trust(20%), Reuters(20%), and United Business Media(20%). With senior ITN executives they make up the Board of Directors of the company.
Day to day the company is run by an executive team, including the Chief Executive, Finance Director and Director of Business Affairs.
Each of ITN's news services - ITV News, ITV london News, Channel 4 News, More4 News and IRN - are run by a dedicated Editor, who works in conjunction with ITN management and the commissioning editor at the relevant channel they make their programmes for. Each of ITN's business units - ITN Source, ITN On, ITN Factual, ITN Consulting, ITN Factual & Visual Voodoo has its own senior manager, and senior managers look after further areas such as Corporate Affairs and Technology.
