The Tudors star Jonathan Rhys Meyers has reportedly been arrested after allegedly punching a waiter.

Police detained the 31-year-old Hollywood star after the incident at Le Quotidien bar in Charles de Gaulle airport in Paris.

A source said he was ordered to appear in court in Paris in September on charges of wilful violence, outrage and threatening behaviour.

In 2007, Rhys Meyers was arrested and charged with being drunk and disorderly at Dublin airport.

Rhys Meyers has starred in a number of films, including Mission Impossible III and Woody Allen's Match Point.
