Stallone charged for banned substance
Sylvester Stallone is on rocky ground with Aussie authorities after being charged for bringing a banned substance into the country.
The actor was stopped and detained at Sydney's airport last month for allegedly carrying 48 bottles of a muscle building hormone that is restricted in the country.
Custom officials searched the star's bags and confiscated items. His hotel room and private jet were also checked whilst he was on his promotional trip.
Despite facing heavy fines the star dismissed the incident as just a "misunderstanding" at the Australian premiere of his latest film Rocky Balboa.
Stallone's case was adjourned in an Australian court until April 24, when his lawyers will be asked to enter a plea on his behalf.
Human Growth Hormone is officially considered a performance enhancing drug in Australia and it cannot be imported without a permit from the Therapeutic Goods Administration.
The maximum penalty for bringing it into Australia illegally is a £45,000 fine and five years in prison but the star is unlikely to face this.
