Everton to break the bank for Yakubu

David Moyes is set to smash Everton's transfer record to bring striker Yakubu to Goodison Park.
The Blues have agreed a fee of £11.25 million with Middlesbrough for the 24-year-old Nigerian international.

Yakubu cost Boro £7.5 million when they signed him from Portsmouth in 2005.
He has scored 35 goals in all competitions for the Teessiders.
A Boro spokesperson said: "We can confirm we have agreed a fee for the sale of Yakubu and he has been given permission to talk to Everton.
"We will only confirm the fee once any deal is complete."
