Paris Hilton is really out to prove she's a changed woman by heading to Rwanda on a humanitarian trip.

The Simple Life star, who promised to be a better role model after going to prison for driving with a suspended licence, told a US magazine that she wanted to "leave a mark on the world".

The 26-year-old admitted she was feeling nervous about her mission, but she was hopeful footage from the trip would change people's opinions of her

The 26-year-old admitted she was feeling nervous about her mission, but she was hopeful footage from the trip would change people's opinions of her.

She said: "I love having everything documented. It shows people what everyday life is like for me, how hard I work."

Hilton plans to visit schools and health-care clinics during the visit - a far cry from hanging out at the Hollywood night spots that established her party girl reputation.

She said: "Before, my life was about having fun, going to parties - it was a fantasy. But when I had time to reflect, I felt empty inside. I want to leave a mark on the world."
