One of Real Madrid's latest signings would like Chelsea winger Arjen Robben to join the club.

Real spent nearly £30 million on Robben's fellow Dutchmen Wesley Sneijder from Ajax and Royston Drenthe from Feyenoord and Sneijder confirmed he would like to play with Robben at club level.

"I would like to play here in Madrid with Robben" - Wesley Sneijder

He said: "I'm not the right person to tell someone here in Madrid to buy Robben but I think he is a great player and of course it is great to play with Robben in the national team and maybe in the future I would like to play here in Madrid with Robben."

Drenthe is expected to become the successor to Roberto Carlos at left-back for Real but he insists manager Bernd Schuster will decide which position suits him best.

The 20-year-old said: "I will play wherever the coach wants me to, he's the boss and I will do as he wants.

"As a footballer you have to be prepared for anything, as a Real Madrid player you have to put up with a great deal of pressure."
