Iron Lady reveals her bronze statue

Baroness Thatcher has unveiled a 7ft 4in statue of herself in the Members' Lobby at the House of Commons.

The 81-year-old, known as the Iron Lady during her 11 years as Prime Minister, revealed a silicon bronze sculpture created by Antony Dufort.

"I might have preferred iron but bronze will do" - Baroness Thatcher

She said: "The House has done me a great honour by commissioning this fine and imposing sculpture.

"I might have preferred iron but bronze will do."

The sculpture faces a similar statue of Winston Churchill.
