Grant misses coaching lesson
Chelsea manager Avram Grant has skipped a seminar in his native Israel, putting his coaching licence at risk.
Grant does not have the Uefa Pro Licence required to manage a Premier League club, but he has been given permission to carry on while attending classes to achieve the qualification.
He was supposed to attend classes run by the Israel Coaches Association (ICA) this week, but chose to stay in London.
ICA chairman Amnon Raz said: "Avram Grant rang me on Monday morning and said 'I can't come because I have too many things to do at Chelsea.'
"I believe he will catch up on the lessons he has missed but all the coaches know they have to come to 80 per cent of the classes in the programme.
"If Avram Grant misses too many more he will be treated like everybody else who fails to turn up. He will be out of the programme and he will not get his Pro Licence."
