Stunt Awards light up LA
Los Angeles has been alive with the sound of screeching motorbikes and the smell of burnt rubber after hosting the World Stunt Awards.
Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson presented the special ceremony at Paramount Studios with the men and women who put the moves into movies being warmly celebrated.
The evening saw numerous stunt demonstrations, beginning with Johnson entering the stage in an armoured car and crashing onto the set.
Harrison Ford joined a list of mainstream celebs who honoured the stunt guys with Casino Royale and Superman picking up gongs.
Governor of California Arnold Schwarzenegger turned up to hand out a special lifetime achievement award to Burt Reynolds for his performances in action films.
The 71-year-old actor said: "I'm so old now that life-time achievement awards are scary."
