Scottish-born Rae, a saxophonist with funk band the Haggis Horns, is thought to have died from a suspected drugs overdose.

But West Yorkshire police said they are awaiting toxicology reports on Mr Rae's body after a post-mortem proved inconclusive.

Officers arrested a 32-year-old man on suspicion of supplying controlled drugs before later releasing him on bail pending further inquiries.

Bailey Rae met her husband, originally from Aberdeen, Scotland, while working as a cloakroom attendant at a Leeds jazz club and the couple married in 2001.

The 29-year-old is said to be devastated by her husband's death.

Well-wishers have left tributes to Mr Rae and messages of support for Corinne - who shot to fame in 2006 with the release of her self-titled number one debut album - on internet fan sites.

The eight-piece Haggis Horns, who have played as a backing band for Amy Winehouse, Mark Ronson and Bailey Rae herself, recently released a well-received debut album called Hot Damn!
