
World unites for Darfur

Protesters around the world are taking part in an international day of action to highlight the crisis in Darfur.
Demonstrators are calling for an end to the four year conflict in the western Sudan region.
According to the UN, some 200,000 people have died since the conflict began
The campaign has already seen support from the likes of Sir Elton John and George Clooney.
10,000 hourglasses filled with fake blood will be turned by activists to highlight the violence, while organisers of Global Day for Darfur say several other events will take place in over 35 capitals.
In London, a rally is being held opposite 10 Downing Street.
