No England role for Boycott
England cricket bosses have denied offering legendary England batsman Geoff Boycott a job with the current team.
Reports suggested Boycott had been approached to work with the squad on a part-time basis, with special emphasis on Andrew Flintoff's batting.
But the ECB say they have only discussed a role for Boycott with England's junior teams.
An ECB spokesman said: "We use people like Nasser Hussain already to go to the National Performance Centre in Loughborough to talk to the age-group teams and the England Lions, and that is what we envisage other former players doing."
Flintoff has asked Boycott for advice in the past but the ECB insist that relationship will only continue on an informal basis.
