Flintoff sidelined again

Andrew Flintoff has been ruled out of England's penultimate one-day international against India at The Oval.

The 29-year-old all-rounder has been experiencing more discomfort in his troublesome left ankle and could be doubtful for the concluding game of the seven-match series on Saturday.

It is not clear for how long he will be sidelined - the team is due to leave for the ICC World Twenty20 on Sunday.

But Flintoff has seen the surgeon who performed the third and latest operation on his ankle at the start of the summer.

England officials are likely to reveal more details later.

With Flintoff out of the sixth one-dayer against India, Sussex's Luke Wright has been handed his debut while Dimitri Mascarenhas has been recalled.
