Blogger sued over Aniston picture
A Hollywood film studio is suing a blogger for publishing topless pictures of Jennifer Aniston.
Universal City Studios has filed the lawsuit against Perez Hilton who is accused of copying a picture of Aniston that was shot and then swiped either during production or post production of her movie The Break Up.
The picture was then posted on his site perezhilton.com.
The case, filed in a Californian court, seeks a bar on further publication and the return of the pictures, which were taken during the making of a film
Hilton has argued though that the picture is just as available for viewing on other websites and that because Hilton published the picture "for the purpose of commentary and satire," his actions constitute fair use.
The studio wants an injunction on future use of the picture and a court order "directing the US Marshal to seize" the copyrighted material.
