Alba and Cook hit the red carpet

Hollywood stars Jessica Alba and Dane Cook have hit the red carpet for the US premiere of the comedy, Good Luck Chuck.

Cook plays an unlucky in love dentist who discovers that every woman he's had relations with, has gone on to find true love with the next guy she meets.

Before he knows it though, his curse has turned into a good luck charm for women.

When a genuine romance develops, Cook's character realises he has to break his curse before the girl of his dreams winds up with the next guy she meets.

Cook said: "I feel like this is what I always wanted to do and then to be able to share with someone who's willing to go toe-to-toe comedically."

Alba added: "Then again I never did this, so it was kind of a crash course in comedy."

Good Luck Chuck is released in the UK in early November.
