Chef warns rivals over bad behaviour

Celebrity chef Raymond Blanc has warned his hot-headed rivals to ditch their macho ways in the kitchen, or possibly face jail.

The Frenchman said:"They will end up behind bars if they continue to bully staff. Those chefs who glorify violence are living in the past."

Talking about the new Hell's Kitchen presenter, Marco Pierre White, Blanc said: "Will he promote food craft, careful man-management, or just this unfortunate aspect of behaviour, which involves the degradation of people?

"I think he will respect what I am telling him."

Having once said reality TV was watched by eight million morons, Blanc is now to star in a new television show of his own about food.

The chef says he agreed to the programme because he wanted to bring respect back to the culinary industry and to challenge "the crazy macho culture you see on TV".
