Sleuth remake premieres in New York
Jude Law has been joined by co-stars Michael Caine and Kenneth Branagh for the premiere of their new movie Sleuth in New York City.
The remake tells the story of Andrew Wyke, a wealthy author who attempts to outwit out-of-work actor Milo Tindle, who is having an affair with his wife.
Caine played Tindle in the 1972 classic, but returns as the betrayed husband, while Jude Law plays the rogue who stole his wife's heart. Lawrence Olivier played Wyke in the original film.
Jude Law admitted that this version of the story doesn't compare to the earlier movie.
He said: "Because of the way it evolved, it really felt it was really an original take on it. So I don't feel like I was stepping on (Michael Caine's) toes.
He added: "Working with Michael is extraordinary. I feel very lucky. I've worked with some great actors. Michael is an icon, you know, he's also a gentleman, he's also incredibly modest, he's also very good fun."
Sleuth is out in the UK on November 23.
