Mason claims silver for Britain

Germaine Mason has won Great Britain's first athletics medal by claiming silver in the high jump.
Mason equalled his lifetime best when he cleared 2.34 metres.

But Andrey Silnov of Russia cleared 2.36 metres at the first attempt to win the gold medal.
Mason was born in Jamaica but switched nationalities in 2006.
He is the first Briton to win a high jump medal at the Olympics since Steve Smith in 1996.
Fellow Brits Team-mates Tom Parsons and Martyn Bernard finished eighth and ninth respectively.
