Galaxy: 'Beckham could still figure'
David Beckham could still make his Major League Soccer debut for Los Angeles Galaxy in Toronto this weekend.
The 32-year-old former England skipper did feature at the end of his new club's 1-0 friendly defeat at the hands of Chelsea a fortnight ago.
But he has missed the Galaxy's last three games in the SuperLiga with the ankle injury he suffered while on international duty in June.
While Beckham has still to take a full part in training, a Galaxy spokesman said: "David will travel to Toronto with the squad on Friday.
"The decision on whether he will play against Toronto FC will be made once we arrive there."
MLS newcomers Toronto, who are managed by former Scotland striker Mo Johnston, play on an artificial pitch and that could be a deciding factor as regards Beckham's chances of playing.
