Rumours that Lindsay Lohan is engaged to her new beau have been denied by the star's publicist.

The Mean Girls actress hooked up with her boyfriend Riley Giles during their shared stint at a rehab centre in Utah.

But reports that the couple had decided to get hitched have been quashed by Li-Lo's spokeswoman Leslie Sloane Zelnik, who said the claims were "completely untrue"

Further speculation was sparked when Lindsay was spotted wearing a sparkling band on her ring finger.

But Zelnik revealed the mystery ring was simply a gift from her father, Michael Lohan.

The 21-year-old is currently working on her part in Dare To Love Me, a film biopic about tango maestro Carlos Gardel.

Lohan is also believed to have told a magazine that once she's finished her part in the film, she's returning to rehab to avoid any more distractions.
