Hamilton concentrates on racing

Lewis Hamilton insists he will forget about his failed appeal when the Singapore Grand Prix begins.

Hamilton missed a day's practice for the race to make a personal appearance at the FIA headquarters in Paris in an attempt to overturn the 25-second penalty he was given for cutting a corner at the Belgian Grand Prix.

"All I want to do now is put this matter behind me" - Lewis Hamilton

An appeals panel ruled the appeal 'inadmissable', so Hamilton's world championship lead remains a single point with four races left.

He said: "I'm not thinking about the title or the other drivers, just about doing the best job I can each time I get into the car.

"People will probably expect me to be depressed about the result, but that isn't me.

"All I want to do now is put this matter behind me and get on with what we drivers do best, racing each other."
