Rock star Pete Doherty has been arrested for suspected drug possession.

The arrest came just hours after the controversial singer performed at the V festival and less than a fortnight after a judge warned the Babyshambles frontman that he could face prison or a community order over earlier drug charges.

At West London Magistrates Court, Doherty, 28, had admitted driving illegally while in possession of crack, heroin, ketamine and cannabis.

At the time his lawyer told the court that Doherty had been on a detox programme and "presents himself certainly looking a lot better".

The judge adjourned the matter for a four weeks, saying the rocker could face a community order or prison.
