Joss Stone angers waiting fans

Soul star Joss Stone has angered fans who waited nearly three hours to see her perform in London.

The Devon teenager was booed before she took to the stage at the KoKo club.

One unhappy fan on an internet message board said: "This was one of the worst gigs I have been to in a long, long time - who exactly does she think she is?"

But not all concert-goers were disappointed

Another said: "She played for one and a half hours, most acts come on at 9.30, so why the criticism of that? She is an amazing artist with huge talent. The sooner people actually recognise this the better".

A spokesman for the star said a DJ had entertained the crowd before Joss came on stage.

He said: "It's pretty bog standard with a gig for the doors to open at 7pm and the main act to come on at 9pm.

"She was 40 minutes late on stage and I don't know the reason for that, although she does get very nervous before she performs so that might have had something to do with it."

The Devon singer recently surprised the crowd at the Brit Awards with her newly-acquired American accent and fiery red hairdo.
