Vaughan called into shadow squad
Michael Vaughan has been added to the England performance squad for the tour of India.
The former England captain was left out of the main squad and the 15-man back-up squad so he could take a break from international cricket.
But his sudden inclusion in the shadow squad suggests he could be in line for a return soon and he will train with the elite team for the first time since he stood down as skipper.
England captain Kevin Pietersen said: "It's good because it gives us strength in depth to have a guy like that around with his experience.
"He's coming back into the fold now and has his head back on.
"He's willing to do whatever it takes to get back into the England team, which is great."
