Six killed in M25 crash
Six people have been killed in a minibus crash on the M25 in Surrey.
The accident happened at 2:15 am when a recovery vehicle, which had a minibus on the back, collided with the rear end of a lorry, according to Surrey police.
The lorry driver, who was uninjured, is being quizzed by police.
A police statement said: "The mini bus had earlier broken down and the six passengers from the minibus had transferred to the cab of the recovery vehicle.
"There are six fatalities and one person seriously injured in hospital.
"The driver of the HGV has not been injured and is helping Surrey Police with their inquiries.
"At this stage it is too early to confirm the exact cause of the accident."
Details of the dead are not being released until they had been formally identified, but all are thought to be adults.
The anti-clockwise section of the M25 was closed between junction 10 and eight while investigations were carried out and the vehicles removed.
