Lily publishes sick note
Lily Allen has posted a picture of a sick note from her doctor to explain why she's had to cancel her recent European performances.
On her MySpace page, the singer wrote: "I'm back in London eating my mum's chicken soup because I'm afraid the travelling has caught up with me.
"I've got sinusitis and strep throat - I don't even know what that is - and have been advised to take a couple of weeks off by a doctor in LA and a doctor here.
"Before anyone starts trying to accuse me of neglecting my fans I want to apologise and say how sorry I am, but I can't risk causing any permanent damage. I hope people can understand and aren't too angry."
The 22-year-old was scheduled to appear at the Oya Festival in Norway, the Way Out West Festival in Sweden, Portugal's Sagres and The Lowlands Festival in Holland.
However she promised her fans she'd be fit for her V Festival performance later this month.
Allen postponed a series of dates in the US earlier this year, saying she was "bored" and wanted to concentrate on her second album.
But her US work visa was recently cancelled in relation to her arrest after an incident outside a London nightclub in June.
The star, who received a nomination at the MTV Video Music Awards, said she would do "everything I can" to do the tour.
