No ransom for Ronaldinho
Mark Hughes has admitted he would be interested in signing Ronaldinho for Manchester City if the price is right.
City owner Thaksin Shinawatra has made it clear he would like to sign Ronaldinho and Hughes is keen to sign stars as long as the club is not held to ransom.
He said: "There's a lot of talk about the quality of players that can come here. If they're available at the right price I will be interested."
Hughes has already started work at Eastlands, hours after agreeing a three-year contract with the club.
He confirmed some of his Blackburn staff will join him at City and he warned they will set high targets for his players.
He added: "My management style enables players to be the best they can be. I'm very demanding on a day-to-day basis, the training sessions are of a high intensity and I expect a certain level to be attained."
