Keane back Live Earth
Keane have joined the Live Earth concert controversy by hitting back at suggestions the concerts lack credibility.
The band will be featuring on the British leg of the event alongside Madonna, Beastie Boys, Red Hot Chili Peppers and The Foo Fighters.
The debate over the musical extravaganza started when Pet Shop Boys, Bob Geldof, Muse and The Who attacked the events saying they're doing more harm than good.
But Keane have defended the gigs saying that people in middle America are talking about it - so it seems to be doing the job.
Former presidential candidate Al Gore is the man behind the provocative project.
Live Earth is a 24-hour, seven-continent series of concerts taking place on July 7 that will bring together more than 100 music artists.
Cities taking part include New York, London, Sydney, Rio de Janeiro, Tokyo, Shanghai and Hamburg.
