Briton outclassed in Davis Cup
World number nine David Nalbandian has outclassed Jamie Baker to give Argentina a 1-0 lead in their Davis Cup clash against Britain.
Nalbandian, beat the Scottish born player - who is ranked 235 in the world - in straight sets, 6-1 6-3 6-3.
Baker had little chance on the unfamiliar clay surface of Buenos Aires and was further hampered by wet conditions which made the court heavy.
The withdrawal of British number one Andy Murray has made John Lloyd's team huge underdogs for the tie.
The three Argentina players taking part are all inside the world's top 100, with Alex Bogdanovic the highest-ranked Briton below Murray at 188.
Even with world number 12 Murray in tow, the visitors would have been facing a tall order, with Argentina playing on their favoured clay.
