Mariah sums up her album

Mariah Carey has been in London to promote her new album E=mc2, but the star admitted she's no mathematician.

She joked: "I failed remedial math, which is always a parallel to the incredible Albert Einstein - and that's what I'm known for and always have been.

"I'm absolutely the worst at math. I really did drop out of math in 7th grade because I just can't compute it "

"Honestly, if you asked me to do anything other than add single digits, it would be an Excedrin moment."

On the album's title, she said: "It was partially a joke because I'm absolutely the worst at math. I really did drop out of math in 7th grade because I just can't compute it - I don't know why.

"But it was also the 'E' from the Emancipation of Mimi being the last album (and) equals MC, which are my initials, which most people call me.

"Then to the second power means this is part two of the moment of feeling emancipated and just having a great time and making music that I love."

E=mc2 is released on April 14.
