Ainslie bounces back

Reigning Olympic champion Ben Ainslie bounced back from a disappointing start to the Finn class sailing competition by winning the second race.

Ainslie slipped from first to tenth place during the opening race as he struggled to cope with light winds off Qingdao.

But he won the second race, beating Rafal Szukiel of Poland by 12 seconds.

Ainslie is now third in the overall standings.

In the Yngling class, the British crew of Sarah Ayton, Sarah Webb and Pippa Wilson are top of the overall standings after finishing second in their third race.

They fought back from last place to finish second behind Australia in their first race.
