Rowling book fetches £1.95m

An exclusive hand-written and illustrated book by Harry Potter author JK Rowling has fetched £1.95 million at auction.
The Tales of Beedle the Bard had been expected to see bids of up to £50,000 at the sale by Sotheby's in London.
Only seven copies exist and the other six were given to friends closely connected with the Harry Potter books
But as the auction got underway, the price reached nearly £2 million, with fine art dealers Hazlitt, Gooden and Fox emerging as the winning buyer.

All proceeds from the sale will go to Rowling's charity, Children's Voice.
