Final Potter 'split into two films'
The final Harry Potter novel to be adapted to the big screen will be split into two films, it has been reported.
It is expected to be announced that JK Rowling's seventh Potter instalment, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, will become a two-part movie.
Producer David Heyman told a US newspaper that it had been difficult to turn the novel into a single film, saying: "Unlike every other book, you cannot remove elements of this book."
The first film is slated for release in November 2010, with part two following in May 2011.
The first five movies have made $4.5 billion (£2.2 billion) worldwide - making it the biggest film franchise in history.
Filming for Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, the sixth in the series, began in September last year.
