Chelsea turn down Lampard bid
Chelsea have turned down an offer from Inter Milan for midfielder Frank Lampard.
They have confirmed the Italian giants have made an approach to sign the England international but insist they have not discussed a transfer fee.
A club statement read: "Chelsea Football Club can confirm it has received an official approach from Internazionale to discuss the possible transfer of Frank Lampard.
"Contrary to reports, no financial offer was made.
"Chelsea FC has informed Inter this morning that we will not enter into any discussion regarding the transfer of Frank Lampard."
Former Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho is in charge in charge of Inter and he recently claimed Lampard will join the Italian club before the start of the 2009/10 season.
