Thousands strip off for nude shot
Photographer Spencer Tunick has been taking more pictures of naked people, this time in Mexico.
Famous for photographing nude crowds all over the world, his latest project saw more than 18,000 people step up to be shot in the buff.
The photographer, who has raised eyebrows by staging such shoots in cities from Dusseldorf to Caracas, smashed his previous record of 7,000 volunteers set in Barcelona in 2003.
Tunick spent three years planning the project, which is one of his biggest nude photo shoots yet.
Participants offered a variety of reasons to explin why they were happy to get their clothes off in public.
He said: "This is very interesting. It is a collective display of a freedom to show the fullness of our society - we as individuals and as a people. This is like a festivity where people participate to get ownership of the city and public space."
The shoot took place in the world's second largest plaza. The Zocalo - which measures the same length as about five football pitches.
Tunick gave his warm thanks to the people of Mexico City for taking helping him with his art.
