Henry: 'Arsenal lack cutting edge'
A lack of concentration and experience have put paid to Arsenal's hopes of silverware this season, according to injured captain Thierry Henry.
The 29-year-old French hitman was ruled out for the rest of the campaign after playing against PSV Eindhoven at Ashburton Grove as the Gunners crashed out of the Champions League at the end of March.
In his absence Arsene Wenger's young squad have fallen out of contention in all competitions and Henry has blamed the north Londoners' failings on a lack of cutting edge and a dearth of fit, experienced players.
Henry told Sport magazine said: "I think perhaps we lose our concentration. We don't do this on purpose. We have ended up losing so many points against teams we should have beaten.
"The talent is there but you need to put the ball in the back of the net, and I wasn't fresh enough, or there enough, to do that for the team this season.
"I'm not complaining about these things, but it is a fact and it does make a difference. We have a lot of amazing youngsters at the club, but you need experience too."
The French world and European champion added: "We'd be in a much better position if we had taken our chances. We do have something to build on, but we need to kill teams off. That's all that let us down this year."
